THE UPRISING | Official Trailer | Andrew Garfield | Paul Greengrass

Andrew Garfield leads a rebellion against the might of the English Crown in The Uprising, the new historical epic written and directed by Paul Greengrass.

Set against the Peasants’ Revolt of 1381, the film follows an ordinary farmer who becomes an unlikely leader as people rise up against injustice and the rule of King Richard II.

As rebellion spreads across England, an army of ordinary people is drawn into an increasingly brutal fight for justice and survival.

Written and directed by Paul Greengrass, The Uprising stars Andrew Garfield alongside Jamie Bell, Stephen Dillane, Tom Hollander, Cosmo Jarvis, Thomasin McKenzie, Jonny Lee Miller, Woody Norman and Katherine Waterston.

The Uprising arrives in cinemas in September 2026.
