EVEREST: THE OTHER SIDE | Official Trailer | From the Filmmakers of Free Solo

From Academy Award-winning filmmakers Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, the team behind Free Solo, comes Everest: The Other Side, an extraordinary story of love, ambition, loss and the pursuit of the impossible.

Elite ski mountaineers Hilaree Nelson and Jim Morrison shared an extraordinary dream: to climb and ski the direct North Face of Mount Everest, one of the mountain’s most difficult and dangerous routes and a ski descent never before successfully completed.

What begins as an epic mountaineering challenge becomes something much more personal, exploring the extraordinary risks people take in pursuit of their dreams and the courage required to continue in the face of profound loss.

Directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, Everest: The Other Side is a National Geographic Documentary Films and Little Monster Films production.

Coming to cinemas and IMAX in 2026.
