A love story like no other, THE CYCLE OF LOVE is an inspiring, heart-warming and truly epic real-life adventure set in the mid-2010s, spanning continents from Delhi to Sweden. The film follows the extraordinary true story of PK, a 23-year-old street artist from Delhi who sets off with a handful of paintbrushes and a second-hand bicycle on a 6,000-mile journey across Europe and Asia to find Lotta, the woman who captured his heart during her visit to India. Convinced their meeting was fate, reinforced by an astrologer’s prophecy that uncannily matched Lotta’s description, PK embarks on a leap of faith that becomes a journey of love, identity and transformation, blending observational documentary with visually rich dramatised sequences that bring his inner world to life.
With unprecedented access, the multiple Academy Award-winning filmmaking team behind VIRUNGA, THE WHITE HELMETS and LEARNING TO SKATEBOARD IN A WARZONE (IF YOU’RE A GIRL) partner closely with PK, Lotta and their families to bring this intimate, thrilling and deeply uplifting story to the big screen. Designed to play as a true crowd-pleaser, THE CYCLE OF LOVE offers audiences an inspiring, feel-good cinematic experience that remains rare in the documentary space. The film marks a unique collaboration between Dogwoof, BD4, Grain Media, Kalabati Pictures and Executive Producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ Purple Pebbles, delivering a love story of rare scale, emotional depth and cinematic ambition.
